Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and responsible Ready Mix Driver to safely operate concrete mixer trucks and deliver concrete loads to various commercial and residential job sites, often navigating challenging terrains. The role also involves handling extension chutes weighing 30-50 pounds for accurate pouring.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and foster a secure work environment.
• Deliver concrete loads punctually and safely to designated locations.
• Manage discharge procedures appropriately depending on site conditions.
• Handle, attach, and operate extension chutes for precise concrete distribution.
• Keep the mixer truck clean and in good mechanical condition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service.
• Coordinate effectively with dispatch and team members to optimize operations.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B). A high school diploma is preferred.
• Must be eligible under FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse requirements.
• Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking).
• Maintain a satisfactory driving record: acceptable CSA and MVR with no DUI/DWI in the last five years and fewer than three moving violations in the past three years.
• Comprehensive knowledge of safety practices relevant to the construction and transportation sectors.
• Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively with supervisors.
• Familiarity with traffic routes and basic truck maintenance skills are beneficial.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Strict adherence to safety gear and workplace safety procedures is mandatory.
• The role involves working outdoors in diverse industrial environments under varying conditions.
• Requires physical activity such as frequent walking, sitting, lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, and climbing.
