Job Summary

The Ready Mix Truck Driver is entrusted with the safe operation of the concrete mixer truck to deliver concrete loads to both commercial and residential construction sites. This position entails navigating various terrains, some uneven, and managing extension chutes weighing between 30 and 50 pounds to facilitate accurate concrete placement.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and promote a safe work environment.
• Ensure timely and secure transport and delivery of concrete to job locations.
• Adjust discharge methods according to differing site conditions for precise pouring.
• Handle and attach extension chutes required for accurate concrete discharge.
• Maintain cleanliness and functional condition of the ready-mix truck on a daily basis.
• Provide exceptional customer service and uphold the professional image of the company.
• Coordinate effectively with dispatch and team members to optimize operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Compliance with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and eligibility to drive.
• Competency in English—reading, writing, and speaking.
• Clean driving record: no DUI/DWI offenses within five years and no more than three moving violations in the last three years, alongside an acceptable CSA and MVR record.
• Comprehensive understanding of safety procedures relevant to construction and transportation sectors.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to follow supervisor instructions correctly.
• Knowledge of traffic routes and basic truck maintenance skills are desirable.

Working Environment and Physical Demands

• Mandatory use of personal protective equipment and strict adherence to safety protocols.
• Exposure to a broad range of work settings, including outdoor industrial environments.
• Physical activities include frequent walking, sitting, lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as pushing, pulling, and climbing during daily work routines.
