Project Manager — ERP Finance

Role Overview

Join a pioneering team as an ERP Finance Project Manager, playing a key role in managing and optimizing the ERP finance modules including Accounting, Invoicing, Expenses, Payments, Reconciliation, Budgeting, Reporting, Tax, and multi-company/multi-currency configurations. You'll collaborate closely with finance, treasury, tax, commercial, and operations units to enhance system adoption and streamline processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive expertise in ERP finance-related modules and maintain an up-to-date catalog of system features and capabilities, including configurations and version changes.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to analyze current workflows and identify gaps in ERP usage, proposing improvements for better integration and automation.
• Manage the ERP–Finance project portfolio from initial intake and scoping through planning, delivery, testing, launch, and post-implementation review.
• Prepare key project documentation such as charters, product definitions, requirement scopes, and governance plans adhering to an established SDLC framework.
• Work in partnership with technical teams on system integrations, customizations, upgrades, and managing change requests while safeguarding finance close processes.
• Understand ERP architecture sufficiently to challenge scope, identify risks, and prioritize initiatives effectively.
• Communicate effectively between finance and engineering teams, contributing to technical documentation review and ensuring business needs are met.
• Track adoption metrics and user engagement for continuous improvement, creating training materials and runbooks for effective user enablement.
• Serve as the primary ERP finance liaison, conducting regular meetings with finance leadership and maintaining the system as the definitive source for finance data.
• Support compliance efforts including audit controls and data integrity during critical financial close periods.
• Maintain detailed documentation of the ERP environment and contribute to knowledge sharing platforms for sustained team success.
• Provide structured onboarding for new finance users, ensuring smooth adoption of ERP tools.

Required Qualifications

• Between 5 and 8 years’ experience in project management, ERP systems, finance systems, business analysis or digital transformation, including at least 3 years devoted directly to ERP in finance or related areas.
• Proven ability to lead projects end-to-end with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of financial concepts including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, tax, and financial closing processes.
• Experienced in identifying ERP usage gaps and implementing enhancements to improve finance operations.
• Technically adept with ability to engage with system specifications, integrations, APIs, and review configurations alongside engineers.
• Expertise in requirements gathering, user stories, acceptance testing, and success metrics evaluation.
• Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Notion, Miro, and general productivity software.
• Hands-on experience with common ERP finance modules and familiarity with upgrades and version migrations.
• Background working in complex multi-entity, multi-currency, and fast-paced environments, preferably in technology, e-commerce, fintech or super-app sectors.
• Knowledge of payment gateway and banking integrations with automated reconciliation processes.
• Comfortable working alongside software engineering teams understanding agile development and sprint workflows.
• Experience in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile.

Preferred Qualifications

• Academic credentials like a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Engineering or related disciplines; MBA is advantageous.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, PMP, Agile, or in product management.
• Arabic language proficiency.
