About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a newly launched, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility during an extensive growth phase. The position allows you to play a vital role in establishing and enhancing operations from inception, focusing on leading significant projects within a tightly regulated, high-stakes production setting. This appointment is initially for a six-month subcontracting contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee project management efforts across designated manufacturing lines or workstreams.
- Drive execution of programs applying structured project management methodologies and governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to identify, communicate, and mitigate associated risks.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project plans, detailing scope, schedules, key milestones, and resource distribution.
- Regularly track schedule compliance via daily and weekly operational review meetings.
- Facilitate problem-solving workshops to address and remove operational obstacles that impact delivery timelines.
- Question and improve existing schedules and execution approaches.
- Maintain transparency through effective oversight, reporting, and governance mechanisms.
- Assess and authorize modifications affecting project scope, budgets, delivery timelines, or strategies.
- Assist in transitioning projects seamlessly from initial concepts to execution and operational readiness phases.
Required Experience and Skills
- 3 to over 5 years of leadership experience in project or program management within manufacturing, engineering, or regulated sectors.
- Preferably experienced in managing large-scale capital or manufacturing projects.
- Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end project lifecycles and on-site execution.
- Strong ability to manage stakeholders and foster cross-functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated influence without direct authoritative power.
- Familiarity with manufacturing and quality control documentation standards.
- Highly skilled in conducting workshops, solving complex problems, and delivering presentations.
- Proficient with advanced Microsoft Project and Excel functionalities.
- Experience in people management is a plus but not mandatory.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science, or a related discipline.
- Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, IPM, or equivalents are preferred.
Preferred Background
- Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other strictly regulated manufacturing industries.
- Involvement with greenfield manufacturing site establishment or expansion projects.
- Exposure to operational readiness, commissioning, or manufacturing ramp-up activities.
