Job Overview
This role is for a Product Manager focusing on a self-managed enterprise platform used globally. Based in New Zealand, the product manager will shape the strategy and execution of how customers deploy, configure, and manage complex solutions within their own environments. The position involves cross-functional collaboration with engineering, marketing, customer success, and field teams to innovate and simplify enterprise deployments across cloud-native, on-premises, and regulated settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a market-driven vision, strategy, and set of product requirements for the self-managed product suite.
- Maintain and prioritize the product roadmap considering customer needs, business goals, technological possibilities, and market trends.
- Collect and analyze feedback from customers, partners, communities, and internal teams to identify enhancement opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with engineering to set priorities, design impactful projects, and guarantee delivery of valuable product features.
- Enhance customer experience by simplifying deployment processes and improving reliable adoption across varied enterprise environments.
- Track market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and customer demands, working with sales, solution teams, and client-facing departments.
- Drive the advancement of enterprise deployment scenarios, including Kubernetes, container platforms, on-premises, and air-gapped or restricted environments.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven expertise managing complex technology products with deep understanding of enterprise platforms and technical environments.
- Experience with both SaaS and self-managed/on-premises platform products.
- Knowledge of enterprise software development lifecycle, deployment models, and infrastructure fundamentals.
- Exposure to heavily regulated sectors such as banking, financial services, or insurance is highly desirable.
- Strong ability to translate customer feedback and market insights into concise product strategies and priority actions.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills ideal for distributed and global teams.
- Willingness to thoroughly learn and engage with the product being managed.
- Experience with developer-focused, infrastructure, or enterprise platform products is an advantage.
