Role Overview

We are recruiting experienced Overhead Line Workers to join our Power division. The role focuses on maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and renewal of overhead line equipment and related power supply systems. You will operate as part of a highly motivated team, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards in all assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and installation tasks on overhead lines per instructions.
  • Work safely at heights using poles, towers, and Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs).
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, applicable standards, and company protocols.
  • Coordinate with chargehands, site supervisors, and client representatives to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Accurately complete and timely submit all required work pack documentation.
  • Promptly report near misses and identified safety catches.
  • Utilize all necessary equipment outlined in the Overhead Line (OHL) manual.
  • Maintain professionalism and care when working on client properties.
  • Perform other responsibilities as instructed by supervisors.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in construction and maintenance of overhead lines up to 132kV.
  • Possession of a full driving licence.
  • NPG Authorisation is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Valid Pole Top Rescue certification.
  • Manual Handling certification.
  • Sound knowledge of project health and safety standards.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with ability to comply with technical instructions.
  • Basic customer service aptitude and professional demeanor.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
