We are seeking a Materials and Process Engineer with expertise in composites and non-metallic materials to join our aerospace-focused team in Mississauga, Ontario. Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering or related fields such as Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or Chemistry.
  • Minimum five years of professional experience with composite materials and non-metallic systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of fibre-reinforced composites, thermoset and thermoplastic materials, adhesives, structural bonding, sealants, resin systems, and non-metallic to metallic joining techniques.
  • Familiarity with injection molding, compression molding, and stamp forming manufacturing processes.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Prior aerospace industry experience.
  • Background supporting manufacturing and production environments.
  • Expertise in materials testing and failure analysis.
  • Strong technical writing and presentation capabilities.
  • Experience in composite materials characterization, polymer science, material qualification/certification, bonded joint design, and aerospace manufacturing.
  • Skills in root cause investigation, supplier technical support, and engineering project assistance.
  • Beneficial experience with carbon fiber and glass fiber composites, honeycomb structures, advanced resin systems, aerospace structural components, and non-destructive testing for composites.

Work Details and Remuneration

  • Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, on-site.
  • Duration: 12-month contract with possibility of renewal.
  • Workweek: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
  • Compensation: Hourly pay rate between $50 and $55, flexible based on experience.
