Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a customer-oriented and meticulous Helpdesk Analyst to deliver technical support and ensure timely resolution of IT concerns. Serving as the initial point of contact, this role involves diagnosing and resolving issues related to hardware, software, networks, and systems while offering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level assistance for issues involving hardware, software, networks, and applications.
- Address user queries promptly via phone, email, chat, or ticketing platforms.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve incidents and service requests efficiently.
- Escalate complex problems appropriately with effective follow-up management.
- Manage support tickets by logging, tracking, and updating within helpdesk systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Support users with operating systems, productivity tools, email, and business software.
- Administer user accounts, password resets, and permission settings in line with security policies.
- Create documentation including troubleshooting guides, solutions, and knowledge base content.
- Monitor recurring problems and suggest improvements to processes or systems.
- Support IT asset management by maintaining detailed records of hardware and software.
- Ensure adherence to IT security policies and data protection standards.
- Collaborate across teams to maintain high service quality and user satisfaction.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in IT support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Solid knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking principles.
- Experience with Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, and typical business applications.
- Basic familiarity with Active Directory, user management, and access control.
- Understanding of networking basics such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless technologies.
- Awareness of IT service management frameworks and helpdesk ticketing tools.
- General knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and endpoint protection measures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Well-organized with attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Dedicated to ongoing learning and delivering exceptional IT support.
