Data Analyst – Power BI & Tableau

Job Summary

Astra-North Infoteck Inc. is looking for a seasoned Data Analyst with over 8 years of experience to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario. This role focuses on converting intricate data into practical business intelligence. The successful candidate will possess deep knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, data modeling, and statistical analysis, coupled with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders to inform strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Gathering, processing, and analyzing extensive datasets from various origins.
• Creating and managing dynamic dashboards and reports utilizing Power BI and Tableau.
• Constructing sophisticated SQL queries for data extraction, verification, and analysis.
• Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver impactful insights.
• Conducting root cause analyses to identify trends, patterns, and potential opportunities.
• Maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and governance of data within reporting systems.
• Proposing enhancements to processes for improved operational effectiveness.
• Communicating analytical findings and strategic recommendations to diverse teams.

Required Skills

• A minimum of 8 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst.
• Proficiency in SQL and advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities.
• Demonstrated expertise in using Power BI and/or Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
• Experience with data modeling techniques and statistical analysis methodologies.
• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
• A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Economics.
