About the role
This is a full-time, hands-on supervisory position at Craignish Country Club Hotel in Craignish, Queensland, on the Fraser Coast. The venue is part of a growing local area and offers the chance to join a positive team environment with a healthy work-life balance.

The hotel operates with a range of hospitality and gaming facilities, including 23 gaming machines, a bar, Keno, a bottleshop, and both indoor and outdoor dining areas.

Key responsibilities
The supervisor will oversee the hotel’s daily operations and work closely with senior management to keep service running smoothly.
- Lead service delivery so members and guests receive excellent hospitality
- Supervise bar and restaurant team members
- Monitor staff performance and provide guidance
- Assist with rosters and step in to cover shifts when required
- Ensure the team follows the club’s SMILE standards and values
- Maintain guest satisfaction across service and product quality
- Handle complaints and service issues quickly and professionally
- Ensure compliance with RSA and RSG legislative requirements
- Manage cash handling and complete end-of-day balancing
- Carry out opening and closing procedures
- Train and support new employees
Requirements
Applicants need hospitality experience, the right certificates, and the ability to lead a team in a busy venue environment.
- Current RSA, RSG, and RMLV certificates and licences
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current Food Handling Certificate
- Ability to obtain a National Police Certificate for employment
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a venue
- Minimum 5 years of practical beverage and gaming experience
- Ability to adapt to change, take direction, and make sound decisions
- Experience using time and attendance systems such as TANDA
- Ability to prepare basic reports on critical incidents
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build relationships, motivate staff, and manage a team
- Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong communication skills and a results-focused approach
Working hours
This role is for 38 hours per week on a rotating roster. Shifts may start early in the morning or finish late at night. Availability is required across days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
