Accounts Payable Reconciliation Associate

Job Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and well-organized Accounts Payable Reconciliation Associate to become part of our finance department. The role focuses on ensuring precise reconciliation, processing, and documentation of accounts payable transactions. The person will coordinate closely with accounting and local teams to address discrepancies and facilitate audit processes.

Key Duties

• Conduct monthly reconciliations of accounts payable to verify that all transactions are accurately captured in the accounting software.
• Investigate vendor account inconsistencies and promptly resolve any outstanding issues.
• Engage with both local and internal teams to clarify and rectify missing or conflicting transaction details.
• Assist in audit preparations by compiling necessary accounts payable documents and providing thorough explanations.
• Work collaboratively with departments including Record to Report (R2R), Accounts Receivable (AR), and operations to ensure the correctness and fluidity in reconciliation processes.
• Maintain precise and current accounts payable records at all times.
• Identify opportunities for improving processes and participate in implementing solutions to boost efficiency and accuracy within accounts payable functions.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• At least 3 to 4 years of professional experience in accounts payable or reconciliation roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures.
• Proficiency with Office 365 and SAP software.
• Effective verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Capability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving environment.
• Good problem-solving aptitude to effectively resolve discrepancies.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Preferred experience with ERP platforms, particularly SAP, along with strong analytical knowledge and reconciliation expertise.
