Supply Chain Officer

Overview

BIA Group operates internationally in sales, rentals, and after-sales services of equipment for public works, mines, quarries, and transport industries, employing over 1500 people across Europe, Africa, and Asia. This role involves managing end-to-end machine down activities from request for quotation to delivery, ensuring smooth operational execution including alternate sourcing and optimized delivery routes. The function requires availability every day of the week, including after hours on a rotation basis.

Work Schedule

• Rotational shift Week 1: 10:30 – 19:30
• Rotational shift Week 2: 08:30 – 17:00
• Standby and weekend coverage on a rotation basis
• Public holidays standby from 13:00 – 19:00 (remote)
• Saturday standby from 13:00 – 18:00 (remote)
• Sunday standby from 13:00 – 17:00 (remote)
• Standby duties are fully remote; employees may remain at home or other suitable location while available
• Week with 08:30 – 17:00 shift excludes weekend standby coverage
• Week with 10:30 – 19:30 shift includes weekend standby rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer requests for quotations promptly within strict execution turnaround times
• Receive quotes at any time and process formal quotations according to timelines
• Source and obtain optimal multimodal logistics solutions for deliveries
• Identify and provide alternative sourcing options if primary OEM parts are unavailable
• Coordinate seamless communication flows among suppliers, service providers, internal teams, and customers to set clear expectations
• Escalate deviations promptly to management for decision-making
• Generate transport documentation timely to meet execution deadlines
• Ensure supplier and service provider invoices are promptly processed
• Maintain business coverage of at least 45 hours per week per roster

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Sales, or Purchasing
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in supply chain operations
• Experience in parts supply chain operations is beneficial
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and French
