Job description
Role Overview
Seeking a Start-up Growth Manager to join NUS Enterprise at the Kent Ridge Campus. The role entails overseeing the PIER71 Landing Pad, a structured soft-landing program designed to assist promising start-ups in mentorship, fundraising, market entry, and ecosystem connectivity.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the PIER71 Landing Pad offerings, facilitating start-up growth in key areas including revenue, capital access, team building, and market expansion.
- Evaluate program effectiveness through metrics such as revenue growth and collaborations, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Drive community engagement by evolving start-up engagement strategies and event calendars to enhance participation in mentorship, peer learning, and ecosystem activities.
- Handle all aspects of the start-up relationships within Landing Pad, ensuring high retention, satisfaction, and accurate metrics tracking.
- Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding processes in collaboration with Finance and Administration teams, ensuring smooth documentation and process adherence.
- Manage contributor relationships including mentors, domain experts, and consultants; activate their contributions through mentoring, workshops, and investor readiness support.
- Foster regular communication and equip contributors with necessary materials to maximize their support effectiveness.
- Build and sustain partnerships with maritime-related entrepreneurship support organizations and government-linked bodies across North and South America through BLOCK71 U.S.
- Assist international start-ups entering the market from the Americas and support local start-up expansion into these regions.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in startup ecosystem development or closely related fields.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish trust and support from stakeholders across diverse cultures including founders, mentors, investors, and institutional partners.
- Strong organizational capabilities with adept multitasking skills managing projects from inception to completion.
- Proven ability to link start-up support efforts clearly to organizational results.
- Collaborative team player who can effectively engage and reciprocate support within and across functions.
Advantages
- Knowledge or experience in maritime or deep technology sectors.
- Familiarity with cross-border start-up assistance or market entry programs, ideally involving North and South America.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Entrepreneurship, or related discipline preferred.
