Site Superintendent – New Brunswick

Overview

We are looking to hire Superintendents at our Nova Scotia office to lead construction site operations with a strong emphasis on safety. The Construction Superintendent will manage daily site activities to align with company goals and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and evaluate project schedules and site personnel to meet project goals.
• Develop and maintain detailed three-week look-ahead schedules.
• Implement and enforce the Project Safety Program by conducting regular hazard assessments and safety meetings.
• Ensure adequate manpower is allocated to meet safety, timing, and quality standards.
• Create comprehensive work plans and schedules in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Oversee quality assurance and control processes.
• Track all site instructions and change orders, adjusting plans as necessary.

Candidate Qualifications

• Experience as a Project Lead within the general contracting sector, especially on industrial, institutional, or commercial projects.
• Proven ability to supervise, coordinate, and schedule construction tasks, consistently delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting client expectations.
• Recommended educational background: Engineering Technology, journeyman certification, or similar construction-related discipline.
• Strong analytical and computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Project, and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Outstanding customer service and client relationship abilities.
• Flexibility and a collaborative team spirit.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and meticulous attention to construction details.
