Job Summary
Join Hilton's hospitality team as a Purchasing Officer, where your attention to detail in managing procurement documents and accurate record-keeping supports excellent guest experiences. This role emphasizes precision in purchasing activities and market research to facilitate informed buying decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist procurement by purchasing necessary materials and supplies, researching competitive pricing, and ensuring adherence to purchasing policies.
- Inspect and verify deliveries to confirm accuracy against purchase orders, invoices, and specifications before acceptance.
- Fulfill department requisitions by issuing and distributing items while maintaining optimal stock levels and alerting supervisors on shortages.
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy, scan supporting documents, and resolve any discrepancies to ensure timely payments.
- Support inventory management through regular stock counts, updating tracking systems, and flagging any shortages or variances.
Required Qualifications and Attributes
- Diploma or degree in Business, Hospitality, or related discipline preferred.
- Familiarity with hospitality operations and supply chain practices.
- Strong skills in negotiation and effective communication.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience using procurement software and related systems.
- Commitment to ethical practices ensuring transparency and policy compliance throughout procurement processes.
