Job Overview

The Production Manager at Dangote Industries Limited in Numan, Adamawa State, oversees all production operations within the factory. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate factory operations spanning cane reception to sugar packaging.
• Monitor production metrics; implement corrective measures to align with operational goals.
• Optimize plant capacity and resource allocation.
• Track factory efficiency indicators and sugar recovery performance.
• Champion initiatives that increase sugar recovery rates and reduce losses.
• Identify production bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement efforts.
• Promote adoption of best manufacturing practices across production processes.
• Lead management teams including Process Managers, Shift Managers, and Supervisors.
• Manage workforce deployment and ensure effective manpower utilization.
• Conduct employee performance evaluations and facilitate training opportunities.
• Cultivate a culture emphasizing teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
• Engage in preventive maintenance planning, annual shutdowns, and equipment commissioning.
• Oversee timely reporting and resolution of equipment issues impacting production.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related discipline.
• Professional certifications relevant to the field are advantageous.
• At least 15 years of experience in the sugar industry.
