Job Overview
Join Royal Mail as a Postal Delivery Driver based at the Kirkwall Delivery Office (KW15 1AA). This fixed-term contract role involves delivering letters and parcels to the local community, making you an important representative of our trusted postal service.
Work Schedule and Salary
- Hourly wage of £13.68, paid monthly, with paid overtime opportunities.
- Working 32 hours and 5 minutes per week across a rotating schedule, including some weekends.
- Delivery shifts run approximately from 09:45 am to 4:45 pm, seven days a week between Monday and Sunday.
- Sunday work at the Kirkwall Delivery Office is required.

Candidate Profile
- Holds a full UK manual driving license with no more than 6 penalty points, registered under the current name and address.
- Capability and willingness to drive the Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
- Physically able to walk long distances, climb stairs or hills, and carry mailbags weighing 10kg or more.
- Reliable, self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently outdoors.
- A strong customer service focus with pride in delivering quality service.
