Role Overview
Located in Truro, this exciting opportunity is for a Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join a well-regarded architectural firm specialising in high-quality residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments with an emphasis on sustainable and thoughtful design. The position provides practical experience across diverse projects within a collaborative and experienced team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to developing innovative design proposals alongside technical problem-solving.
- Assist project teams throughout all stages of the RIBA plan of work.
- Prepare comprehensive planning documents, Building Regulations submissions, and detailed construction drawings.
- Create professional drawings, visualisations, and presentation materials to high standards.
- Coordinate project information among clients, consultants, and contractors under senior guidance.
- Participate in project meetings and perform site visits as necessary.
- Support technical detailing and compile project documentation accurately.
- Ensure all work meets deadlines, adheres to current UK Building Regulations, and aligns with industry best practices.
Candidate Profile
- Possess Part 2 architectural qualification.
- Experience in a UK architectural practice at Part 1 or Part 2 level.
- Strong design sensibility coupled with excellent technical and presentation drawing capabilities.
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and other standard architectural software tools.
- Well-versed in UK Building Regulations and standard construction techniques.
- Highly effective communicator with strong organizational skills.
- Motivated, proactive, and committed to advancing professional expertise.
- Capable of working autonomously and collaboratively within a team setting.
