Position Overview
Orcapod Consulting Services seeks an experienced NodeJS Developer with extensive AWS cloud expertise to join their Hyderabad team on a contract basis. The role involves designing and maintaining scalable backend applications and microservices using modern cloud-native technologies and DevOps best practices.
Core Responsibilities
- Architect, code, and sustain scalable backend services leveraging Node.js frameworks such as ExpressJS and NestJS.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions.
- Build cloud-native applications utilizing a variety of AWS services.
- Implement event-driven architectures using SNS, SQS, and Kafka technologies.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including UI, QA, DevOps, and Product in Agile environments.
- Engage in code reviews, detect and fix issues, and optimize performance.
- Facilitate CI/CD pipelines and container-based deployments using Docker.
- Ensure the backend systems are reliable, scalable, secure, and maintainable.
Required Expertise
- 6 to 9 years of professional software development experience.
- Proficient in Node.js with strong knowledge of ExpressJS and/or NestJS frameworks.
- Hands-on experience designing REST APIs and microservices architectures.
- Expertise with AWS cloud platform services including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch.
- Experience with event-driven messaging systems such as SNS, SQS, and Kafka.
- Understanding of CI/CD tools, DevOps methodologies, and containerization technologies like Docker.
- Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL database systems.
- Experience working effectively in Agile and Scrum teams.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of serverless computing architecture.
- Understanding of infrastructure automation and AWS best practices.
- Experience with monitoring and logging frameworks.
