About the Role
The Lifestyle Mixologist at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company is dedicated to crafting more than just drinks — they create memorable, distinctive experiences for guests. This role extends beyond bartending basics, focusing on keeping abreast of contemporary trends, exploring unique local ingredients, and responding attentively to guests' evolving preferences. The Mixologist acts not only as a beverage expert but also as a host, embodying hospitality that enhances the entire service area. Collaboration with hotel staff and community partners is key to anticipating and fulfilling guests’ desires. Attention to detail is essential, from managing cash flow to providing accurate information about drink selections and ensuring the bar operates flawlessly.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve beverages with precision while maintaining an inviting ambience.
- Stay informed on the latest trends and local specialties to enhance the guest experience.
- Act as a knowledgeable point of contact on wine origins, vintages, and styles, addressing guests' questions with confidence.
- Maintain a safe and professional workplace by adhering to company policies, protecting assets, and ensuring a polished personal appearance.
- Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting objects up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching as necessary during shifts.
- Collaborate with management in recruiting, training, and developing team members to deliver exceptional service.
Requirements
- Minimum education of high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- At least one year of relevant experience in a similar role.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No mandatory certifications or licenses.
