Position Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and committed Junior Data Analyst to join our team full-time, supporting a key Department of Homeland Security client. The role consists of conducting both qualitative and quantitative research, analyzing complex data sets primarily with Microsoft Excel, and evaluating transportation asset risk. The analyst will interpret data to recognize potential risks, oversee mitigation actions, and assist in decision-making processes. Additional duties include providing scheduling and coordination assistance, preparing and managing documentation such as agendas, schedules, presentation materials, and meeting notes, and engaging actively in work group meetings aligned with organizational goals. The position also entails conducting risk assessments to underpin security and operational decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in data analysis and research-focused analytical tasks
• Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from an accredited institution
• Secret security clearance preferred
• Residence within a HUBZone required
• Strong organizational and analytical skillset
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, and analytical software
• High standard of service delivery and solution orientation
• Willingness to work flexible hours including overtime to meet deadlines
• Must be a U.S. citizen

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth qualitative and quantitative research supporting project goals
• Analyze complex datasets to identify risks and formulate mitigation plans
• Assess transportation asset-related processes, data, and information
• Monitor and track the effectiveness and progress of risk mitigation efforts
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including agendas, schedules, presentations, and minutes
• Take part in various organizational meetings and briefings
• Perform risk assessments to guide security and operational activities
• Assist with scheduling and coordination of project tasks
• Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to ensure timely deliverables
• Help compile reports and presentations for client and internal use
