Electrician - Saudi Arabia

About the Role

We are searching for an experienced International Electrician to ensure electrical safety, reliability, and continuous operation of rig electrical systems on our drilling sites in Saudi Arabia. This role offers a chance to contribute to H&P’s culture by leading electrical leadership training workshops, mentoring field leaders, and collaborating with a skilled team to create standardized electrical solutions and maintenance training.

Key Responsibilities

• Uphold core company values and adhere strictly to safety protocols aligned with H&P standards.
• Guarantee safe functioning of electrical systems on drilling rigs and secure usage of electrical equipment by personnel.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical problems promptly to maintain operational integrity.
• Conduct safety inspections on electrical components; perform necessary repairs and calibration.
• Install, upgrade, and retrofit electrical equipment ensuring compliance with Saudi Arabian electrical regulations.
• Manage ordering and inventory of electrical parts to maintain sufficient stock levels.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and electrical repairs to minimize downtime.
• Lead Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Compass Card meetings related to electrical tasks.
• Commit to Health, Safety, and Environmental best practices through active participation in C.A.R.E. processes (including coaching, lock-out/tag-out procedures, confined space safety, and dropped object prevention).
• Complete Expert-level BOP training and maintain up-to-date Workday training certifications.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

• Proficiency in H&P’s Permitted Operations Management System (POMS) and familiarity with Rig Electrical System Safety & Reliability standards.
• Comprehensive understanding of H&P HSE standards, specifically Rig Crew Maintenance for electrical safety.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently while adhering to reporting protocols using E.A.M. systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on preventative maintenance.
• Strict compliance with company policies, local and federal laws concerning electrical and safety standards.
• Collaborate with site management to implement measures protecting personnel from electrical hazards.
• Excellent communication to provide ongoing updates and engage with diverse cultural teams effectively.
• Willingness to learn and apply local Saudi Arabian legislation related to drilling, electrical safety, HSE requirements, and audits.
• Possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience working on rig drilling machinery and electrical equipment.
• Level 1 Electrician certification with over three years performing as an H&P Electrician.
• Experience working in indigenous or multicultural environments.
• Completion of Expert Electrical Workday Certification training is mandatory.
