About the Role

As a Human Resources Specialist, you will play a vital role supporting assigned business units by ensuring the precise and prompt implementation of essential HR processes in line with organizational policies. Working closely with HR Consultants and Directors, you will help foster a positive, consistent employee experience system-wide.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify employment status to support recruitment efforts including internal transfers and rehires.
- Assist the Talent Acquisition team with onboarding tasks such as participation in Organizational Orientation programs.
- Handle employee lifecycle updates including promotions, transfers, compensation changes, and employment status adjustments within HR systems.
- Oversee offboarding by approving terminations and completing relevant actions on time.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity within HRIS to comply with reporting and regulatory standards.
- Manage leave of absence communications and escalate issues to HR Consultants when needed.
- Ensure all disability-related documentation is completed promptly.
- Monitor and track workers’ compensation claims, maintaining records and escalating as appropriate.
- Support responses to unemployment claims and hearings alongside HR Consultants.
- Assist with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) processes, new hire onboarding documents, and reviewing religious exemption requests.
- Participate in various HR programs, initiatives, and special projects as assigned.
- Perform other related duties as necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
- Preferred: Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resources Management.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in HR functions.
