Job description
Job Responsibilities
- Provide consistent care and maintenance to both planted and potted greenery.
- Perform duties such as watering, pruning, fertilizing, mulching, and weeding to support plant health.
- Manage the growth process by handling seedlings and transplanting plants as needed.
- Continuously assess plant health and address any pest-related problems.
- Conduct minor repairs and upkeep of automated irrigation equipment.
- Assist in the upkeep of herb, fruit, and themed gardens.
- Oversee maintenance of the school's aquaponics system.
- Carry out various gardening tasks as instructed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a certificate in Horticulture, Landscape Maintenance, Urban Farming, or related disciplines is preferred.
- At least three years of gardening experience, ideally within a commercial environment.
- Prior experience in cultivating flowers and herbs is desirable.
- Experience in school gardening activities will be regarded as a plus.
