Position Overview
This opportunity is suited for professionals with 2 to 4 years of experience specializing in Heat Exchanger and Pressure Vessel Design, possessing a solid grasp of industry standards, design software, and effective communication skills for global client interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing heat exchangers and pressure vessels while adhering to ASME codes including Section VIII Divisions 1 & 2, and Sections II A & D.
- Utilizing standards such as TEMA and API in design processes.
- Proficient operation of design software like PV Elite and AutoCAD intended for pressure vessel engineering.
- Reviewing and validating drawings related to pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and reactor internals.
- Interpreting welding symbols and applying principles of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Maintaining robust communication channels with clients, AI, and vendors worldwide.
- Managing multiple engineering projects simultaneously while ensuring adherence to schedules.
- Understanding and complying with specifications set by prominent process licensors and EPC contractors in the Oil and Gas sector.
- Raising technical queries, comprehending specifications, and addressing material technical delivery conditions.
- Compiling and preparing Bill of Materials (BOM) effectively.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech or B.E.).
- Demonstrated experience between 2 to 4 years in heat exchanger and pressure vessel design.
- Extensive knowledge of ASME Pressure Vessel codes, TEMA, and API standards.
- Hands-on expertise with PV Elite, AutoCAD, and other relevant design software.
- Understanding of weld symbols, geometric dimensioning, and tolerances.
- Excellent communication capabilities for client and vendor engagement across geographies.
- Familiarity with specifications from major process licensors and EPC firms within the oil and gas industry.
