Key Responsibilities

• Keep the Dairy/Frozen department clean, well-organized, and properly arranged to ensure it is always presentable for customers.
• Perform regular product rotation and monitor for expired items to maintain product freshness and quality.
• Ensure correct pricing and labeling of products by following established protocols for ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, and signage.
• Follow strict cold chain, food safety, and sanitation requirements including temperature monitoring, food handling, product rotation, sell-by and expiration date checks, and cleaning procedures.
• Support merchandising efforts by maintaining department displays and promotional features according to company standards.
• Maintain a tidy, safe work environment by promptly removing hazards such as spills and debris, and complying with health and safety policies.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to ensure uninterrupted customer service.

Role Challenges

• Manage high volumes of tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, including overnight shifts, to maintain energy and focus.
• Handle intense workloads involving substantial restocking and recovery operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform physical duties such as standing for long periods, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Carry out repetitive duties like stocking and zoning with careful attention to detail and consistency to meet store standards.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $17.75.
