About the Role
Join Parsons Corporation as a Cost Engineer in Tabūk, Saudi Arabia, where you'll be part of a dynamic team supporting comprehensive cost management across significant infrastructure and construction projects. This position focuses on cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure projects remain profitable and on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and maintaining project budgets, cost estimates, and control baselines throughout the lifecycle.
- Monitor and analyze project expenditures, commitments, accruals, and forecasts for effective financial oversight and reporting.
- Identify deviations from budgets and assess financial risks, trends, and variances.
- Prepare detailed cost reports, dashboards, and executive summaries; develop performance metrics and project financial summaries.
- Support change management by evaluating design changes, variations, and scope adjustments, maintaining registers and logs accordingly.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Planning, Procurement, Finance, and Project Controls to align cost data and project schedules.
- Conduct Earned Value Management (EVM) analytics and cost performance reviews.
- Participate in project reviews, cost workshops, and commercial discussions to ensure accurate cost control and forecasting.
- Help prepare final accounts, project closeout financials, and contribute to audit and compliance activities.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives such as value engineering and cost optimization.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Finance, or related fields.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in cost engineering, project controls, commercial management, or similar roles, particularly on large-scale projects.
- Strong competencies in cost control, budgeting, estimating, forecasting, cash flow analysis, change management, and financial reporting.
- Experience with Earned Value Management and monitoring of project financial performance.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Office; familiarity with project control software is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills; detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to PMC, EPC, or client-side project environments.
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6, Primavera Unifier, Oracle Primavera Cloud, SAP, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Understanding of FIDIC contracts, risk management, contingency planning, and value engineering.
- Experience preparing executive dashboards and business intelligence reporting.
- Professional certifications such as AACE CCP, PMP, MRICS, or equivalents are a plus.
