About the Role

Join Parsons Corporation as a Land Surveyor based in Sharjah, UAE. Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret project drawings and related documents to prepare for surveying tasks.
  • Oversee and guide survey-related works to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct land and field surveys alongside geodetic computations to gather precise data.
  • Collaborate with clients and contractors to clarify and confirm survey project requirements.
  • Complete surveying assignments within project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Verify setting-out points, levels, service locations, and ensure protective measures are in place.
  • Create sketches supporting fieldwork and maintain comprehensive surveying records including field books and calculation logs.
  • Measure completed work sections when necessary to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Adhere to and promote all site safety protocols and participate actively in related health and safety initiatives.
  • Assist with drafting accurate 'as-built' drawings for project documentation.
  • Carry out additional tasks relevant to the role and project demands.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safe working practices at all times.

Required Qualifications and Abilities

  • Diploma or associate degree in Land Surveying or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 7 years of experience focusing on infrastructure and utilities projects, with a minimum of 4 years spent working at a consultancy firm within the region.
  • Proficient in the use of CAD software, survey-specific software, total stations, data collectors, and GPS devices.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in English, and willingness to attend in-person interviews.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with construction sequencing and industry standard procedures.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and project statuses clearly and logically to both management and team members.
