Overview

MTN Ghana is recruiting for a full-time Coordinator for Enterprise Bid and Contract Support based in Accra. This role involves ensuring technical and commercial compliance of bids, timely submission, and accurate contract management that aligns with business objectives. The position reports to the Manager of Enterprise Commercial Operations & Bid management and is part of the Enterprise Business function under Enterprise Commercial Performance, Governance & Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage receipt, logging, and qualification of all incoming bids (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs) and unsolicited proposals from enterprise customers, government entities, and SOEs, maintaining a single source bid pipeline.
  • Develop bid plans, coordinate virtual bid teams across multiple departments including Sales, Solutions Engineering, Legal, Finance, Procurement, and Technical teams.
  • Prepare consolidated bid responses ensuring all customer queries are addressed, with correct references and compliance with MTN brand standards.
  • Perform quality checks including proofreading, version control, formatting, pricing accuracy, and completeness of submission requirements such as registrations, tax clearances, and licenses.
  • Track and manage contract lifecycle via a dedicated management platform, including renewal negotiations, termination procedures, and final reconciliations with Finance.
  • Maintain and update a bid library with reusable content such as company overviews, certifications, case studies, and contract templates.
  • Handle non-disclosure agreements lifecycle with customers and vendors, including drafting, execution, and renewals.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislations including the Public Procurement Act, Data Protection Act, NCA licence conditions, and MTN Group policies.
  • Identify contractual risks related to SLAs, liabilities, and termination clauses, and escalate as necessary.
  • Support audit processes with prompt documentation retrieval.
  • Provide regular reporting on bid pipeline, contract statuses, win/loss analytics, and dashboard maintenance to leadership.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers’ procurement teams during the bid process and foster collaboration within the business for smoother bid responses.

Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree in Business Administration, Law, Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, IT, Social Science, Psychology, Management, or related discipline.
  • Professional certifications such as APMP, CIPS, IACCM, PMP, PRINCE2, or Contract Law are advantageous.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in bid coordination, proposal management, contract administration, procurement, or commercial operations, ideally within telecommunications, ICT, or B2B services.

Professional Competencies

  • Knowledge of enterprise solutions and bid/proposal management lifecycle.
  • Understanding of contract law, commercial contract structures, and Ghanaian procurement regulations.
  • Awareness of data protection and information security principles.
  • Experience in B2B commercial environments, pricing, and SLA management.
  • Project management skills to coordinate complex bid responses on deadline.
  • Ability to draft and review contracts.
  • Track record of managing multiple concurrent proposals efficiently.
