About the Role

Join our team at Springvale 1 World of Learning as a Cook responsible for preparing nutritious, high-quality meals and snacks for up to 60 children daily. This full-time position involves working 38 hours per week, ensuring that all meals align with nutritional guidelines to support the mental and physical growth of young children.

Responsibilities

• Plan menus thoughtfully, manage budgeting, and oversee stock ordering and control effectively.
• Adhere to dietary requirements and allergy safety protocols to protect children’s health.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment complying with all relevant Food Safety regulations.
• Collaborate seamlessly with the team, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be available consistently for set shifts from Monday to Friday.

Candidate Requirements

• Hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an ACECQA approved Early Childhood qualification along with cooking experience.
• Possess a current Working with Children’s Check and comprehensive First Aid certification.
• Have completed, or be willing to complete, a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
• Be passionate about contributing to children's learning and development through quality nutrition.
