About the Role

This opportunity is offered on behalf of a partner company based in Canada, seeking a Compliance Associate to join remotely. This role is designed for a meticulous compliance practitioner who thrives on supporting operational excellence via thorough documentation, policy management, and keeping abreast of regulatory requirements. The position involves collaborating across teams to uphold compliance standards, audit support, and process enhancement in a dynamic global environment.

Primary Duties

• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and enforcing internal compliance policies, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure that internal workflows conform to relevant legal and regulatory mandates, especially in employment standards and operational compliance.
• Handle compliance administrative functions such as document control and maintaining records related to regulations.
• Support HR processes including employee onboarding, contract tracking, and managing employee data using platforms like Employment Hero.
• Contribute to internal audits by pinpointing compliance vulnerabilities and suggesting workflow enhancements.
• Collaborate with different departments to improve compliance practices, documentation, and internal controls.
• Keep updated on changes in employment laws and compliance requirements, summarizing and advising as appropriate.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and accuracy when dealing with sensitive organizational and employee data.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a degree in Law, Business, Compliance, or a related discipline; legal experience or paralegal certification preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ background in compliance, legal operations, administrative support, or related roles.
• Familiarity with Australian workplace compliance and employment law principles.
• Experience working with HRIS tools such as Employment Hero or equivalent platforms is advantageous.
• Effective written and oral communication skills capable of producing clear documentation and concise summaries.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information securely.
• Self-motivated with excellent time management skills suitable for remote work environments.
• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving capacity and a methodical approach to managing compliance processes.
