Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to spearhead Shockbyte's growth in the business-to-business segment. This role centers on establishing and nurturing new partnerships with game studios, advocating for the adoption of our orchestration platform, Shockbyte for Game Studios, and becoming the main liaison for our strategic partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive sales pipeline dedicated to game studios, encompassing lead sourcing through to partnership finalization.
- Negotiate and secure exclusive POGS agreements, positioning Shockbyte as the primary hosting service.
- Promote the use of the Shockbyte for Game Studios platform among both new and current clients.
- Serve as the principal contact person for vital partners until dedicated account managers take over.
- Represent Shockbyte at major international gaming conferences such as GDC and Gamescom, conducting frequent meetings and demonstrations.
- Handle contractual obligations and agreements with game studios and partners.
- Deliver well-prepared presentations, proposals, and platform demonstrations tailored to executives and developers.
Candidate Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a relevant field, or similar professional experience.
- Demonstrable history in business development, partnerships, or sales, preferably within gaming or tech sectors.
- Knowledge of the gaming industry landscape and key events like GDC and Gamescom.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a natural inclination for networking, conducting continuous meetings, and forming introductions.
- Competent in delivering presentations, product demos, and successfully closing deals.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills combined with an aptitude for building enduring business relationships.
- Self-driven ability to create and sustain an organized sales pipeline.
- Highly organized and detail-conscious, with the capability to manage logistics including travel, meetings, and follow-up actions.

- Experience in media relations or public relations.
- Familiarity with SaaS platforms, cloud services, or server infrastructures.
- A well-established network within the gaming industry.
- Ability to communicate in multiple languages.
