Role Overview

Join our Auckland-based team as a permanent Assessor, where you will play a vital role in ensuring adherence to the Privacy Act and Official Information Act. You will respond to requests from customers seeking access to the information we hold about them, assessing their files and applying a risk-based decision-making approach to deliver appropriate information. Effective communication with customers, internal Oranga Tamariki teams, and external agencies is essential. The position is located at our Ellerslie site with hybrid work options including flexible work from home arrangements.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in customer service roles.
  • Knowledge of privacy legislation including the Privacy and Official Information Acts.

  • Familiarity with office software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Cultural sensitivity, especially awareness of tikanga Māori and Pacific peoples' cultures.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience is preferred.
