Subject Matter Expert - Physical Chemistry Internship

About the internship

This is a part-time, work-from-home internship focused on solving student doubts in physical chemistry for an ed-tech platform. You will create clear, step-by-step explanations for live questions, ensuring the solutions are easy for an average student to follow and free from plagiarism. The role also requires preparing handwritten responses on plain white paper, capturing a photo, and uploading the solution through the tutor application.

Key responsibilities

• Answer live physical chemistry questions from students and explain the solutions in a structured way.
• Prepare handwritten answers using blue or black ink on a blank white sheet, then photograph and upload them in the tutor app.
• Write responses that are detailed, readable, and simple enough for an average learner to understand.
• Ensure every solution is original and does not contain copied content.
• Spend at least 1 to 2 hours daily supporting students.

Eligibility

Applicants must be available to work from home, be able to begin between 3 July 2026 and 7 August 2026, and commit for 3 months. Candidates should have relevant skills and interest in the subject. Women looking to start or restart their careers are also encouraged to apply.

Other requirements

• Candidates should either be pursuing or have completed a chemistry degree, or have relevant teaching experience in the same subject area.
• Strong familiarity with core physical and general chemistry topics is expected, including atomic structure, thermochemistry, chemical bonding, electrochemistry, chemical kinetics, and S, P, D, and F-block elements, along with aldehydes, ketones, and carboxylic acids.
• The working window is expected to be between 8 PM and 10 AM IST, and applicants should be comfortable with that schedule.

Stipend

The internship offers a monthly stipend of INR 4,000 to 5,000.
