This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth daily operations and timely deliveries, demonstrating a commitment to efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and oversee daily transport activities and delivery timelines.
- Plan and allocate deliveries to optimize vehicle and driver usage.
- Maintain communication with customers regarding delivery specifics and status updates.
- Coordinate with drivers to manage priorities and address any delivery issues promptly.
- Collaborate with production and warehouse staff on loading schedules.
- Track delivery progress and troubleshoot problems as they occur.
- Ensure accurate completion and maintenance of delivery documentation and records.
- Support compliance efforts related to Chain of Responsibility (COR) regulations.
- Assist with scheduling drivers, vehicle coordination, and transport administrative duties.
- Maintain detailed transport records and generate reports.
- Participate in initiatives aimed at continuous improvement of transport and logistics functions.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated prior experience in transport coordination, logistics, dispatch, or scheduling roles.
- Excellent organizational abilities, with capacity to prioritize competing tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills and aptitude for building productive relationships.
- Confident in coordinating drivers and collaborating with internal teams.
- Sound understanding of transport operations and delivery workflows.
- Attention to detail complemented by precise administrative skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and make decisions in a dynamic environment.
- High commitment to safety standards and quality customer service.
- Experience in manufacturing, building products, steel, or construction-related industries is advantageous.
