Job Overview
This position is exempt from the federal civilian hiring freeze. Leverage your STEM expertise, especially in engineering, to advance into a career as a Special Agent with the FBI. Responsibilities
- Execute investigative operations into potential breaches of federal statutes involving cybersecurity and public safety.
- Employ sound judgment and adaptability to meet the complex demands of investigations.
- Develop and sustain cooperative relationships with a broad spectrum of law enforcement entities, including federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international agencies.
- Maintain physical fitness to meet the rigorous demands of law enforcement duties.
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Eligibility to obtain Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance is mandatory.
- Willingness to travel as necessary for investigative and operational needs.
- Must satisfy all FBI employment eligibility criteria.
- Possession of a bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S. accredited institution, preferably in engineering or a related scientific discipline. Degree verification through official transcripts is required.
Compensation
Annual salary ranges from $93,749 to $133,200 depending on base pay, locality adjustments, and availability pay.
