Job Overview
This unique opportunity allows individuals with engineering backgrounds to transition into federal law enforcement roles as Special Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. The role focuses on utilizing analytical and technical skills to confront issues impacting national security, including cybercrime, terrorism, fraud, and other emerging threats.
Role Responsibilities
- Plan and execute investigations into possible violations of federal laws related to cybersecurity and public safety.
- Apply judgment, creativity, and adaptability to meet diverse investigative needs.
- Develop and sustain effective collaborative relationships with law enforcement agencies at federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international levels.
- Maintain physical fitness to be prepared for the demands of law enforcement duties.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold U.S. citizenship.
- Must be eligible and able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
- Willingness to travel as necessary for the role.
- Meet all FBI employment eligibility criteria.
- Possess a bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in engineering or a related field, from an accredited U.S. institution, with official transcripts verifying the degree.
