The company supplies and installs leading international brands serving the commercial sector, managing both government and private contracts with a proven record of delivering significant projects to Tier 1 builders and clients.
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled estimator to augment our sales team of three associates. This role focuses on supporting outstanding customer service and enhancing sales functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare estimates and quotes for automatic door systems directed at fabricators, builders, and end users.
- Regularly track tendering portals to identify and generate new business leads.
- Follow up on and manage incoming sales leads and quotation requests efficiently.
- Collaborate on site assessments alongside technicians, consultants, or customers.
- Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors, tradespeople, and suppliers.
- Conduct on-site measurements and evaluate conditions as needed.
- Specify architectural hardware for commercial projects exclusively (residential projects are not undertaken).
- Deliver technical presentations to architects, builders, fabricators, glaziers, and clients.
Required Skills and Experience
- A strong work ethic combined with a proactive, 'can-do' mindset and eagerness to learn.
- Commitment to maintaining excellent customer service with a focus on sales growth and long-term client relationships.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications, supported by mechanical and electrical understanding.
- Effective time management skills with the capacity to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and experience with estimating software.
- Background in automatic doors and architectural hardware is ideal; however, candidates with technical sales or estimating experience in sectors like electrical, medical, glazing, fabrication, or mechanical are welcome.
- Previous roles such as Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, Architectural Hardware Specification, or Estimator are relevant.
