Role Overview

The company seeks an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding delivery team in Cork. This role involves working on projects across diverse sectors including Data Centres, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, and Commercial, providing exposure to varied contracts and project types.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Contract Managers, offering advice on the commercial status of projects.
  • Assist in reviewing all project contracts to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Support the Senior Quantity Surveyor in preparing commercial reports.
  • Engage in contractor negotiations across various projects, including the preparation of variations.
  • Manage major subcontractor accounts from contract award through interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Contribute to monthly progress applications alongside Senior QS.
  • Perform additional duties related to the Quantity Surveyor role as required.

Skills & Requirements

  • While relevant third-level qualifications are advantageous, they are not mandatory.
  • A minimum of four years' experience in a similar Quantity Surveying position with an electrical contractor.
  • Strong ability to operate both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in IT applications related to quantity surveying.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
