Role overview

The Project Manager for Virtual Care and Digital Health (VCDH) is responsible for driving projects tied to the rollout and adoption of enterprise, regional, and collaborative virtual care services across Providence customer sites, along with internal initiatives for the VCDH group. The role requires end-to-end ownership of the project lifecycle and close coordination with sponsors, site leaders, and cross-functional partners such as service line leaders, clinical operations, application analysts, licensing and credentialing, account management, nursing leadership, and other operational teams.

This position calls for someone who can work effectively across functions, business units, and matrixed teams, communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders, and stay highly accountable for delivering project outcomes on schedule.

What you will do

You will lead planning, execution, and delivery for virtual care and digital health projects, making sure teams stay aligned on scope, timelines, and goals. You will coordinate with internal and external partners, manage multi-disciplinary collaboration, and support successful implementations at customer sites.

Required qualifications

Providence requires a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent mix of education and experience, along with formal training in project management, change management, and process improvement methods such as PMP/PMI, Agile, CAP, Workout, Six Sigma, LEAN, or CQIA.

The role also calls for at least 3 years of experience managing projects and/or programs, 2 years of experience delivering projects with strong customer satisfaction and strong attention to detail, and 2 years of experience presenting and facilitating with executive-level audiences.

Preferred qualifications

Preferred credentials include a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification at hire, 2 years of healthcare industry experience, 1 year of telehealth experience, and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Compensation and benefits

The base pay range varies by location. Examples provided include: Alaska (Anchorage) $40.11 to $62.27 per hour; Alaska (Kodiak, Seward, Valdez) $41.81 to $64.91; California (Humboldt) $40.98 to $64.88; Northern California outside Humboldt $46.91 to $72.82; Southern California outside Bakersfield $41.81 to $64.91; Bakersfield $40.11 to $62.27; Montana outside Great Falls $32.29 to $50.13; Great Falls $30.59 to $47.49; New Mexico $32.29 to $50.13; Oregon outside Portland $37.39 to $58.05; Portland $40.11 to $62.27; Texas $30.59 to $47.49; Washington Western outside Tukwila $41.81 to $64.91; Southwest Washington (Olympia, Centralia and below) $40.11 to $62.27; Tukwila $41.81 to $64.91; Eastern Washington $35.69 to $55.41; and Southeastern Washington $37.39 to $58.05.

The final placement within the pay band depends on relevant experience and other job-related factors. Additional compensation may also be available, including shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses.
