Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organized zones within the produce department, ensuring it is customer-ready at all times.
• Regularly rotate stock and remove expired items to uphold product freshness and quality standards.
• Verify accurate pricing and signage for produce, adhering to ordering, clearance, markdown, and labeling procedures.
• Comply with food safety and cold chain protocols, including temperature monitoring and proper food handling according to expiration dates.
• Manage stocking and destocking tasks, apply product protections, and set up merchandise displays and modular shelving.
• Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business requirements.

Challenges of the Role

• Handle a significant workload efficiently in a fast-moving environment, particularly overnight shifts, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and timely.
• Meet physical demands such as standing for long durations, bending, lifting items up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs, and performing repetitive stocking and organizing actions.

Compensation

The position offers a starting hourly wage of $18.70.
