Key Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and professional customer service tailored to meet customer needs.
• Prepare and package meat products accurately and efficiently.
• Manage and merchandise meat display areas to ensure an attractive presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the meat department.
• Receive and process incoming meat orders promptly.
• Fulfill special order requests for meat products as required.
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities.
• Ensure all meat processing complies with company standards and Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) regulations.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company policies and standards.
• Handle administrative tasks relevant to the meat department.
• Provide technical training and support to new staff and clerks.
• Assist the Meat Manager or act as second in charge when necessary.

Requirements and Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of meat department operations and related skills.
• Ability to work independently under fast-paced conditions.
• Completion of high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 12 months of relevant meat cutting or retail experience.
