Overview
We are seeking a Manager of Strategic Projects to take a leadership role in driving large-scale transformation efforts across our organization. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, this role demands a capable professional to oversee enterprise-wide change initiatives, manage cross-functional teams, and strengthen governance mechanisms for successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and ensure successful execution of strategic transformation programs spanning multiple business units.
- Enhance PMO governance by improving project planning, tracking, reporting, and performance evaluation.
- Manage complex stakeholder relationships and foster alignment across cross-functional teams on strategic priorities.
- Identify and advance improvements in customer and operational journeys through root cause analysis and risk assessment.
- Prepare and present executive-level dashboards, presentations, and reports for senior leadership.
- Maintain hands-on ownership of portfolio visibility and project management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing large, complex transformation initiatives in sizable organizations.
- Expertise in PMO functions, strategic project delivery, and stakeholder engagement.
- In-depth knowledge of portfolio management principles coupled with active project execution involvement.
- Experience analyzing and enhancing customer and operational journey processes.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities, including the creation of executive dashboards and insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior executive audiences.
- Background with leading consulting firms or experience in the energy, telecommunications, or national service sectors is advantageous.
Technical Skills
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project for project management.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including dashboard creation and reporting.
- Expertise in PowerPoint for developing executive presentations.
Preferred Industry Background
- Experience in Energy & Utilities sector.
- Telecommunications industry knowledge.
- Familiarity with large-scale service organizations.
