Manager, Strategic Projects

Overview

We are seeking a Manager of Strategic Projects to take a leadership role in driving large-scale transformation efforts across our organization. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, this role demands a capable professional to oversee enterprise-wide change initiatives, manage cross-functional teams, and strengthen governance mechanisms for successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure successful execution of strategic transformation programs spanning multiple business units.
• Enhance PMO governance by improving project planning, tracking, reporting, and performance evaluation.
• Manage complex stakeholder relationships and foster alignment across cross-functional teams on strategic priorities.
• Identify and advance improvements in customer and operational journeys through root cause analysis and risk assessment.
• Prepare and present executive-level dashboards, presentations, and reports for senior leadership.
• Maintain hands-on ownership of portfolio visibility and project management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Demonstrated experience managing large, complex transformation initiatives in sizable organizations.
• Expertise in PMO functions, strategic project delivery, and stakeholder engagement.
• In-depth knowledge of portfolio management principles coupled with active project execution involvement.
• Experience analyzing and enhancing customer and operational journey processes.
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities, including the creation of executive dashboards and insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior executive audiences.
• Background with leading consulting firms or experience in the energy, telecommunications, or national service sectors is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• PMP certification is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project for project management.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including dashboard creation and reporting.
• Expertise in PowerPoint for developing executive presentations.

Preferred Industry Background

• Experience in Energy & Utilities sector.
• Telecommunications industry knowledge.
• Familiarity with large-scale service organizations.
