Overview
RealNZ seeks an accomplished General Manager Sales & Market Development to spearhead its sales strategy, broaden market reach, and boost revenue generation within New Zealand and international spheres. Reporting directly to the Chief Customer & Sales Officer, this senior leadership position is integral to maximizing revenue streams, expanding distribution partnerships, and fostering sustainable growth across the company.
Role Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive sales and market expansion strategies for RealNZ.
- Drive profitable revenue enhancement in domestic and external markets.
- Broaden trade and travel network channels and cultivate strategic business relationships.
- Lead initiatives to elevate visitor numbers, increase market share, and boost brand prominence.
- Forge and sustain robust connections with airline partners, tourism operators, and other key industry stakeholders.
- Achieve set targets for annual revenue, profitability, and budget adherence.
- Manage, develop, and motivate a high-caliber sales leadership team.
- Represent the organization at prominent industry gatherings, trade shows, and market forums.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of a decade of senior-level leadership in sales and business development, preferably within tourism, hospitality, leisure, or related sectors.
- Demonstrated experience managing international sales teams and operating in global markets.
- Extensive professional networks within tourism and associated industries.
- Proven record of delivering strong revenue growth and enhancing commercial outcomes.
- Ability to think strategically while executing commercially sound actions.
- Effective stakeholder engagement and persuasive communication skills, including presentations to executive leadership.
- Strong financial and commercial insight with expertise in data-driven business opportunity identification.
