Job description
Role Overview
The Food Service Assistant plays a vital role in supporting dining operations at OASIS facilities catering to US Government, Government of Australia, contracted staff, and business travelers.
Primary Duties
- Carry out custodial responsibilities within and around the dining area.
- Assist cooks with meal preparation tasks.
- Operate custodial equipment, including floor polishing and carpet steam cleaning.
- Ensure delivery of excellent customer service at all times.
- Maintain adherence to all environmental health and safety protocols onsite.
- Notify the Head Chef promptly about any low inventory or supply shortages.
- Perform other reasonable tasks as directed.
Qualifications and Eligibility
- Possession of a Certificate in Hospitality.
- Valid driver's license.
- Citizenship of Australia or the United States.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English fluently.
Security Clearance
Employment requires obtaining and maintaining a Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) clearance for Australian Department of Defence or TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph for United States.
Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Expectations
- All staff must comply with site-specific EHS regulations and understand the company's EHS Handbook.
- Perform duties safely and report unsafe conditions or actions to supervisors or EHS managers.
- Adhere continuously to all environmental and safety requirements.
- Exercise the right and responsibility to stop work immediately if a task is deemed unsafe ('Red-Carding').
Quality Assurance
Employees are accountable for delivering services that meet or exceed customer requirements, following the company's Quality Program and adhering to all quality management documentation and contracts.
Compliance with Procedures
It is mandatory for personnel to read, comprehend, and apply all operational, safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures relevant to their positions.
