About the Role
We are searching for an Employee Benefits Specialist to oversee a portfolio of corporate clients mainly focusing on group insurance, superannuation, and various employee benefits. This position is part of a respected advisory firm that values technical expertise, client ownership, and continual professional growth. The role presents an authentic career progression opportunity towards a Team Leader position as the team expands, even though no current people management duties are involved.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide detailed administrative assistance directly to key corporate clients and their workforce covering group insurance support, ongoing superannuation assistance, and responding to general client and member enquiries.
- Manage multiple client-related aspects including member claims, underwriting matters, and insurer communications, escalating complex cases to senior advisers or Team Leader as necessary.
- Ensure the delivery of excellent client outcomes through precise, responsive, and forward-thinking service practices.
- Coordinate the preparation and execution of Group Insurance Reviews and tenders, guaranteeing accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to quality standards.
- Partner with senior advisers to nurture and maintain key client relationships.
- Maintain compliance with internal processes, technical standards, and regulatory requirements across all work activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance service delivery efficiency and quality.
- Support new team members by sharing knowledge and assisting with onboarding initiatives.
- Collaborate with advisers and team members to stimulate business development, client retention, and satisfaction.
Candidate Profile
- Preferably possesses at least three years of experience in employee benefits, group insurance, superannuation, or financial services administration.
- Demonstrated ability to manage client portfolios effectively and to build and maintain trustful relationships.
- Possesses a proactive and hands-on approach with the confidence to independently manage a selected panel of clients.
- Strong technical knowledge of group insurance structures, the claims process, and insurer engagement is highly desirable.
- Excellent communicator with advanced stakeholder management skills.
- Capable of organizing and prioritizing tasks to maintain high service standards under competing demands.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality assurance, compliance, and positive client results.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including strong skills in Excel.
- Exhibits a proactive, problem-solving attitude with ambitions to cultivate leadership skills over time; prior formal people management experience is not mandatory.
