About the Role

We are searching for an Employee Benefits Specialist to oversee a portfolio of corporate clients mainly focusing on group insurance, superannuation, and various employee benefits. This position is part of a respected advisory firm that values technical expertise, client ownership, and continual professional growth. The role presents an authentic career progression opportunity towards a Team Leader position as the team expands, even though no current people management duties are involved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed administrative assistance directly to key corporate clients and their workforce covering group insurance support, ongoing superannuation assistance, and responding to general client and member enquiries.
  • Manage multiple client-related aspects including member claims, underwriting matters, and insurer communications, escalating complex cases to senior advisers or Team Leader as necessary.
  • Ensure the delivery of excellent client outcomes through precise, responsive, and forward-thinking service practices.
  • Coordinate the preparation and execution of Group Insurance Reviews and tenders, guaranteeing accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Partner with senior advisers to nurture and maintain key client relationships.
  • Maintain compliance with internal processes, technical standards, and regulatory requirements across all work activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance service delivery efficiency and quality.
  • Support new team members by sharing knowledge and assisting with onboarding initiatives.
  • Collaborate with advisers and team members to stimulate business development, client retention, and satisfaction.

Candidate Profile

  • Preferably possesses at least three years of experience in employee benefits, group insurance, superannuation, or financial services administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client portfolios effectively and to build and maintain trustful relationships.
  • Possesses a proactive and hands-on approach with the confidence to independently manage a selected panel of clients.
  • Strong technical knowledge of group insurance structures, the claims process, and insurer engagement is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communicator with advanced stakeholder management skills.
  • Capable of organizing and prioritizing tasks to maintain high service standards under competing demands.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality assurance, compliance, and positive client results.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including strong skills in Excel.
  • Exhibits a proactive, problem-solving attitude with ambitions to cultivate leadership skills over time; prior formal people management experience is not mandatory.

Why Work Here

  • Opportunities for progression into a Team Leader role for capable, motivated individuals demonstrating leadership potential and competence.
  • Engagement with a diverse range of corporate clients and complex employee benefit plans.
  • A supportive and collaborative work culture emphasizing professional development.
  • Chance to impact service delivery and process improvements while expanding expertise within a growing advisory team.
