Overview

The role of Cook / Kitchen Helper is situated within the Kitchen & Dietary Services department at Calida Rehab, located in Bhagwati Complex near Baner, Sus, Pune. Reporting directly to the Kitchen Supervisor or Facility Manager, this position involves preparing and providing meals that are nutritious, hygienic, and adhere strictly to dietary requirements, primarily serving patients and staff in a healthcare environment.

Key Duties

• Prepare meals based on predetermined menus while following specific dietary protocols including low salt, diabetic, and soft diets.
• Ensure all food preparation observes proper hygiene and safety standards to maintain high food quality.
• Assist with meal service ensuring correct portion sizes are distributed.
• Keep the kitchen area, cooking utensils, and storage spaces clean and sanitary.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations, including correct storage and disposal of food and waste.
• Follow hospital infection prevention measures diligently.
• Monitor inventory by helping check grocery supplies and report any shortages or spoilage to the supervisor.
• Provide support to the kitchen team during large-scale cooking or special functions.
