Overview

KPMG Canada invites professionals to join their team in a role that supports critical business challenges by managing contingent labour efficiently. Within the Contingent Labour Office (CLO), the focus is on delivering a swift, customer-centric service for engaging external resources while managing commercial needs and minimizing risk for the firm. Primary Responsibilities

  • Execute processes related to onboarding, managing, renewing, and offboarding external contractors and agencies across all Canadian locations.
  • Advise and assist Hiring Managers with expertise in engaging contingent workforce solutions.
  • Utilize technology to improve user experience and streamline team workflows.
  • Contribute actively to enhancing operational practices, documentation, and internal workflows for continual improvement.

Case Management Duties

  • Promote the CLO’s internal reputation by adopting a customer-focused approach and serving as a trusted advisor.
  • Conduct intake sessions and provide training on the vendor management system for Hiring Managers, including Partners and Senior Managers.
  • Collect and assess data related to setting up and managing external resources within the vendor management platform.
  • Ensure thorough due diligence including contractor history, background, compliance, and independence checks.
  • Advise and educate stakeholders regarding appropriate actions and keep all parties informed on case progress.
  • Maintain thorough documentation within shared records to support reporting, audits, and reference.
  • Recognize and escalate complex cases when necessary and collaborate with team members to meet business goals.
  • Respond promptly to ad hoc inquiries by offering clarification, instruction, or appropriate redirection.

Governance and Process Improvement

  • Lead or participate in internal process enhancement initiatives by analyzing current procedures, identifying issues, and managing changes effectively.
  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures, forms, templates, and knowledge articles.
  • Ensure policies and processes are clearly documented and disseminated among CLO, Procurement, HR teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about contingent workforce-related legislation, organizational policies, and best practices.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess 3-5 years of experience in a case management role, preferably involving contract labour or staffing agencies.
  • Bilingual communication skills in English and French are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated capability to interact with diverse stakeholders, including senior management, contractors, and various experts.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documenting and managing processes.
  • Ability to manage high volumes of complex tasks in a dynamic, team-oriented environment while prioritizing competing demands.
  • Keen interest in continuous process improvement and efficiency gains through impact analysis.
  • Proficiency with multiple technologies, including vendor management systems (e.g., Flextrack or Beeline), Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel), and ServiceNow.
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field.
